This is going to be a very short post, but to say that we’re slowly getting there.
It took us a while to figure out what we would need in our new building (we bought a building!). We’ve gone into painting mode, and baking mode, and repurposing mode and building mode and … all at the same time.
In terms of baking, we now have a working mixer, a working oven, bagel peels, a great boil pot and sources for all our ingredients! yes!
In terms of the building, it costs a lot and we don’t currently have any customers… boo! We have been chatting about town, however, and we’ve got a few shops that are interested in carrying our product, so there’s that.
And in our pick-me-up of the day, I had a former Montrealer taste our bagels and tell me that they were, in her estimation at least as good if not better than those bought at a certain high-water mark shop in the plateau, Montreal.
