Well, we’ve had a bit of a slow start to that quick delay. I guess that’s how it goes sometimes. I hope that in a few years’ time I’ll be able to look back on this and go, “there was a reason” or “it just needed the time” but for right now, it’s feeling not so great.
I’m confident that the shop will be built, that the bagels will flow, and that the Okanagan will be excited by our crunchy chewy dough bites. But in order to make this all a sustainable experience, the space has got to be right. And we have yet to find that, unfortunately.
Not much more to report. The family is healthy, my new apartment is starting to feel like a home, I’m getting out exercising three or four times a week… this is just progressing slowly. Did I mention that it feels slow?
On the flip side, I’m incredibly happy that I have the luxury of taking my time. No need to rush this.
